My lovely little, brand new Canon Powershot Pro1 is already undergoing surgery, and I'm not sure when it will be back. My old camera, a Ricoh something or another, has just died. I'm leaving for the US in 10 days to see family I haven't seen in 3 years - I refuse to go without a camera. This is where you come in.

I need to get a new camera, and fast. I obviously don't want to spend a lot of dough, having just dropped a fairly big wad on the Canon. I think I just need the basics - minimum of 3.2 (though preferably a bit bigger) MP, and a minimum of 3x optical zoom.

Help, please!

Just ask for the repair to be rushed.



If anything, buy a Canon Powershot A510.

well the problem is that i'm in france....they aren't exactly known for their speed on things - particularly now that we're heading into August, which is when everyone goes away on Holiday :(

Well, it doesn't hurt to politely ask if it can be rushed for the reason that you're heading away. Just speak with customer service.
